Suniland Roller Hockey

Now playing in Suniland's Over 30 League, the 'Oldest Team Ever' has over 300 years of hockey experience. Long-time Captain Bill Ryan (#50) can be seen above tightening his skates, while his brother Tom (#54) has finished sharpening his stick and is lacing up his skates. Also identified are Norm Segall (#61) and Willie Leitner (#62). David Odishoo refused to be photographed with his teammates.

Our Mission

Suniland Hockey is commited to offering a quality hockey program for all ages, one that will be competitive, yet fair and played in a clean and wholesome environment.

The league has also adopted a stance regarding profanity and unnecessary play:

1) Any youth player using profanity that can be heard by spectators will be penalized.

2) Any youth coach using profanity that can be heard by spectators will be removed from the game and face further disciplinary action.

3) If, in the opinion of the league director, a youth player exhibits conduct which is detrimental to the league and its mission, he/she shall be suspended for the remainder of the season.

Our League

Suniland offers Adult 'A', 'B' and 'Over 30' leagues, a High School division, and an under-13 division. The rink is located adjacent to Palmetto Golf Course on SW 152nd Street, just behind the busway on U.S. 1.
